Elizabeth Karmel and David Lineweaver are born and bred North Carolinians. They understand southern food and southern hospitality. They have both lived their lives with the philosophy of gracious hospitality, whether it was drinks for 2 or a dinner party for 20. Good food, good service and a fair work ethic is what sets them apart.
Karmel is a well-recognized chef and cookbook author, known as a barbecue, grilling and southern foods expert. She was responsible for creating the award-winning menus for Hill Country Barbecue Market and Hill Country Chicken. In addition, she is one of the few working chefs who is also a member of the media. Look for her Associated Press (AP) syndicated column called The American Table, out every other week.
Lineweaver is a respected wall street banker with a strong passion for food and warm hospitality. He is a great home cook and loves throwing dinner parties. The idea of Carolina Cue was born after a series of weekend dinner parties that he and Karmel hosted.
